DE Warns of Fake AFNC TikTok Account 'police11441'
DE warns the public against fake claims that AFNC allows online scam victims to contact officials through the TikTok account 'police11441', as the fake account may lead to financial losses and theft of personal information.
The Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (DE), through the Anti-Fake News Center Thailand (AFNC), has released the latest results of its fake news monitoring and reporting efforts. The initiative is in line with the policy of Mr.Chaichanok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society, to strengthen public awareness of technology-related crimes, fake news, and misinformation.
AFNC monitored a total of 130,457 messages and identified 7,108 messages requiring verification. The largest number of reports came from Social Listening channels, accounting for 7,106 messages, followed by two reports received through the AFNC Line Official account. A total of 31 issues were investigated, with verification results received from relevant agencies for 11 cases.
Among the six stories that attracted the greatest public attention, three were confirmed as true, two were identified as fake news, and one was classified as misleading information. These included:
1. True News: BMTA provides free bus services on six routes for people paying respects to Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha.
2. Fake News: AFNC allows online scam victims to contact officials through the TikTok account police11441.
3. True News: The Ministry of Finance opens a website for existing state welfare cardholders to confirm their eligibility for 2026.
4. Misleading Information: Cambodia claims Thailand’s likay and lomphok as Cambodian culture.
5. Fake News: LIVPLUS dietary supplement helps nourish and restore the liver.
6. True News: DDPM warns six provinces to watch for high tides and overflowing riverbanks from 14–20 June 2026.
One of the most notable fake stories claimed that AFNC had allowed people who were deceived online to contact officials through the TikTok account “police11441”. The DE Ministry confirmed that the claim is false.
The TikTok account “police11441” is a fake account created by scammers. It falsely claims to be an official communication channel of the Anti-Fake News Center Thailand (AFNC). The account also uses government agency logos to appear credible and mislead the public into believing that the information has been verified or endorsed by an official agency.
The public is therefore urged not to believe the claim, click any links, or provide important personal information to anyone through such channels.
The DE Ministry remains concerned about the spread of fake news and misinformation across online and social media platforms. Sharing unverified information may lead to misunderstanding, financial losses, misuse of personal information, and broader impacts on society.
The public is encouraged to trust and share information only from official sources and to carefully verify facts and website links before believing or forwarding any information.
People who encounter suspicious information or possible fake news can report it or verify information through the Anti-Fake News Center Thailand via Hotline 1111 ext. 87, available 24 hours a day.
