Mae Fah Luang Foundation joins 69th CND session

          The Mae Fah Luang Foundation under Royal Patronage was invited by the Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB) to participate in the 69th Session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) in Vienna, Austria, as part of the Thai government delegation last week.On this occasion, Ms. Phawana Niemloy, Board Member, and M.L. Dispanadda Diskul, Board Member and Secretary-General, led the Foundation’s delegation in a bilateral meeting with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). The meeting was hosted by Ms. Delphine Schantz, Regional Representative of UNODC for Southeast Asia and the Pacific.

            The discussion focused on advancing collaboration in linking alternative development and community development approaches with climate finance mechanisms, as well as supporting environmental restoration initiatives and greenhouse gas reduction efforts in the Mekong subregion.
