In a video message to the conference, Mr. Anuphong Suksomnit, Governor of Nakhon Ratchasima Province, outlined Korat’s vision of transforming the province into a “Global Green Destination.”

“The Korat International Horticultural Expo is not only a horticultural exhibition, but also a global platform connecting green innovation, smart agriculture, low-carbon development, and international cooperation,” the Governor said.
He also emphasized the province’s readiness in infrastructure, logistics systems, safety standards, and its capacity to welcome visitors and participants from around the world under the development vision of a Green City, Smart City, and Sustainable City.
“Korat is Ready. Thailand is Ready. The World is Welcome.”
Further progress on the provincial preparations was presented by Ms. Panchana Vatanasathien, who noted that the project is being closely coordinated under the Governor’s “1 Plus 11” policy, integrating cooperation among government agencies, academic institutions, and the private sector.

Human resource development is also underway through the establishment of an Expo Academy, which aims to train more than 30,000 personnel to support the event. Community engagement initiatives, including flower photography competitions and local participation programs in the Expo project area, are also being organized.

The preparations are supported by cooperation across multiple sectors, including government agencies, academic institutions, private organizations, and international partners. Key support has also been provided by ISAN MICE and the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB).
During the conference session, participants also raised questions regarding the timeline for the completion of the Expo Master Plan, reflecting strong international interest in Thailand’s preparations.
